Anavrin Kitchen
A pre-order food brand website built around a rich, story-driven "flavour journey" theme, covering menu browsing, corporate catering, and gallery content.
Project overview
Anavrin Kitchen sells handcrafted food — gourmet air-fried samosas, dum biryani, dal-rice bowls, pakoras, and kunafa chocolates — on a pre-order basis, with a minimum lead time for fresh preparation. Kode studio designed and developed a website built around this operational reality: setting clear pre-order expectations up front while still delivering an appetite-driven, story-led brand experience under the "Journey to Nirvana" theme.
The challenge
Pre-order-only food businesses have to manage visitor expectations immediately — a customer who lands expecting instant delivery and discovers a 7-day wait mid-checkout will bounce frustrated. The site needed to communicate the pre-order model transparently on arrival, without losing the warmth and appetite appeal that food brands depend on, while also serving a second audience: corporate event planners looking for catering.
Our approach
Upfront pre-order messaging
An entry modal clearly states the pre-order-only model and minimum 7-day wait before the visitor browses the menu, setting expectations honestly instead of surprising customers at checkout.
Story-driven homepage
The "Journey to Nirvana" narrative and rich food photography carry the emotional, appetite-driven side of the brand that pre-order logistics alone can't.
Dual-audience navigation
Separate paths for individual pre-orders (Menu, Check Ingredients) and B2B needs (Corporate Events) let two different customer types self-serve without friction.
Key features built
Pre-order notice modal
An upfront popup explaining the made-to-order model and wait time, reducing support queries and checkout confusion.
Menu & ingredient transparency
"Check Ingredients" access lets customers with dietary concerns verify contents before ordering.
Corporate Events section
A dedicated path for catering and corporate lunch enquiries, distinct from individual retail orders.
Gallery
Visual showcase of dishes and events to reinforce the brand's food quality and presentation.
Outcome
Anavrin Kitchen launched with a website that sets honest expectations for its made-to-order model while still leading with strong brand storytelling and appetite appeal — serving both individual customers and corporate catering enquiries from one site.
